Can you make 100 using only + and - and the digits 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9?  It can be done but you must use the digits in the order above., eg 12 + 34 - 5 etc.

If you get a chance to have a look at the nrich website, do!  You will find loads of great maths puzzles and investigations to solve - it will give you lots of experience of reading through word problems and picking out what information is useful and what is not.

Remember to read the question carefully - what do they want you to answer?
